I recently returned to tennis after a 12-year hiatus. I love the adult tennis clinics! Shawn keeps it fast paced so you get your cardio in while working on your technique and the strategies of the game. The courts in Kingston are top notch and the groups are a great mix of skill level so you can still learn from the better people and not feel bad on the days you can't keep up.

My 10-year-old son loves Break Point Tennis, and Shawn is an amazing pro. We commute 45 minutes for the classes--it's well worth it. Lots of classes to choose from, in a modern setting. They do a summer camp too.

I met Shawn about 3 years ago. I was a 2.0 at best. I've been taking his clinics regularly and lessons once a week. His clinics are high energy and extremely informative. Shawn is a great teacher. He makes learning fun and at the same time he teaches you how to improve your game. I truly enjoy it and have learned a lot and that after playing tennis for the last 40 years! I also see him and Eva teach the children on the court next to me, and they have such a lovely interaction with the children and make teaching for them so much fun! Recommend them highly!

The clinics are really fun and a great workout! He keeps us on our toes, literally and figuratively, mixing up the lessons and practice drills every week so no two classes are the same. I'm improving rapidly and really enjoying it. My daughter also loves the two-hour clinic he runs for her age group on Saturdays--it has really improved her game! Highly recommend.

Break Point Tennis & Pickleball is proud to announce that former WTA professional Alexa Glatch has officially joined the coaching team and will begin offering private and group lessons Fridays through Mondays at the club.
Glatch, a standout American player who competed professionally on the WTA Tour, brings world-class experience to the Hudson Valley tennis community. Over her career, she has represented the United States in Fed Cup competition, earned wins over several top-50 players, and competed on tennis’s biggest stages — including the US Open, where she faced Serena Williams.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Alexa join the Break Point family,” said Shawn Holzmann, Owner & Director of Break Point Tennis & Pickleball. “She’s the best player ever to teach in the Hudson Valley — and her arrival gives local players the rare opportunity to train with someone who’s competed at the very top of the sport.”
