🎾 New Feature: Player Matchmaking Now Available on CourtReserve!

We’re excited to introduce Player Matchmaking, a brand-new feature designed to help you find playing partners quickly and easily. Whether you’re organizing a match or looking to join one, this tool makes connecting with fellow players seamless and efficient.

📝 How to Create an Open Reservation

Need players for your match? You can now create an Open Reservation and let other members join your booking.

Here’s how:

1. Begin a court reservation for Singles or Doubles as you normally would.
2. Check the box labeled "Is Open Reservation" at the bottom of the booking screen.

1. A new section will appear, allowing you to:
   • Set player preferences (skill level, gender, age group, etc.)
   • Add a note with instructions or guidance for potential partners.
2. Click Save to complete your booking.

​You’ll receive an email confirming your Open Reservation.
Each time a player joins, you’ll receive another email notification.
Once the reservation is full (2 players for Singles, 4 for Doubles), it is automatically finalized and becomes a standard booking.

Important: If your reservation isn’t full at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time, it will be automatically canceled and released for others to book. You’ll receive an email confirmation if this happens.

Note: Open Reservations cannot be created for court times less than 12 hours in advance. Within this window, only normal reservations may be made. The 12-hour cutoff is currently a trial and may be adjusted in the future.  ​If a player cancels within the 12-hour window before a scheduled match, they are responsible for the full match fee unless the remaining players are able to find a replacement.

🔍 How to Find and Join Open Reservations

Looking to join a game? You can browse and join available Open Reservations created by other members on the Court Reserve App:

Open Reservations Menu

• Click the “Player Match Maker”
• You’ll see a list of all open matches.
• Use filters to narrow results by date, time, skill level, and more.
• Click the Join Group button to secure your spot.

Option 2: Court Booking Calendar

• In the court scheduler, Open Reservations will be clearly labeled as “Open.”
• Click Details to view more information.
• Press Join Group to sign up.
