Junior Group Lesson Class Descriptions Starter Pickleball Program Age Group: Grades K - 2nd Program Description: Our Starter Pickleball Program is designed to introduce young children to the sport of pickleball in a fun and engaging way. Using smaller courts and appropriately sized paddles, this program emphasizes developing fundamental skills such as hand-eye coordination, basic strokes, and footwork. Through interactive games and activities, children learn the basics of pickleball in a supportive and playful environment, fostering a love for the sport from an early age. Beginner Pickleball ProgramAge Group: Grades 2nd - 4th Program Description: Our Beginner Pickleball Program is tailored for children who have progressed from the Starter stage or are new players within the 8-10 age range. Using mid-sized courts, this program focuses on refining basic pickleball skills and introducing more advanced techniques and strategies. Participants will work on improving their stroke production, rallying abilities, and understanding of match play. Through a mix of drills, games, and friendly competitions, children will build their confidence and skills in a dynamic and enjoyable setting. Development Pickleball ProgramAge Group: Grades 4th - 6th Program Description: The Development Pickleball Program is designed for players who have successfully completed the Beginner stage or are new players in the 11-12 age group. This program uses a full-sized court, allowing players to further develop their strokes, movement, and tactical understanding. Emphasis is placed on enhancing rally consistency, shot placement, and transitioning from baseline to net play. Players will engage in more structured drills, point play, and matches to build a strong foundation for competitive pickleball. Middle School Pickleball ProgramAge Group: Grades 6th - 9th Program Description: Our Middle School Pickleball Program is geared towards young athletes looking to advance their skills and prepare for competitive play. This program focuses on improving technical proficiency, physical conditioning, and strategic play. Participants will work on advanced stroke techniques, footwork patterns, and match strategies. The program includes intensive drills, match simulations, and fitness training to ensure players are well-prepared for middle school competitions and beyond. High School Pickleball ProgramAge Group: Grades 9th - 12th Program Description: The High School Pickleball Program is aimed at players who are dedicated to competing at a higher level and potentially playing for their high school teams. This program emphasizes advanced technical, tactical, and physical development. Players will refine their strokes, develop complex strategies, and enhance their mental toughness through rigorous drills, match play, and fitness regimens. The program prepares athletes for high school pickleball seasons, tournaments, and the possibility of collegiate play, ensuring they are well-rounded competitors ready to excel on and off the court. |
